About Aethergard

Aethergard is an early prototype of a fast-paced action roguelite set in a strange, shifting wilderness.

You wake up in an ancient ruin surrounded by hostile creatures, environmental hazards, and mysterious rune guardians. Survive as long as you can while the world pushes back harder with every step.

Features (prototype)

  • Tight, responsive combat with ranged attacks and enemy projectiles to dodge
  • Environmental hazards like quicksand and dangerous terrain that force you to stay on your toes
  • Arena-style encounters with escalating waves of enemies
  • Rune guardian boss fights that test your movement and positioning
  • Around 30–40 minutes of gameplay if you explore and experiment

Status

This is not the final game – it’s a playable vertical slice of Aethergard that I’m using to test out core combat, feel, and pacing. Expect rough edges, balance issues, and missing content.

I’d love any feedback on:

  • Difficulty (too easy / too hard)
  • Controls and overall game feel
  • Which moments felt coolest or most frustrating
